Senators Power Their Way Past Ponies in Series Finale
Harrisburg, PA – The Harrisburg Senators (37-22) with three home runs, including two from third basemen Adrian Sanchez, defeated the Binghamton Rumble Ponies 7-3 in the rubber game of the three-game set Thursday night at FNB Field.
The Ponies (31-23) got off to a fast start with back-to-back home runs in the first inning from Barrett Barnes and David Thompson off lefty Ben Braymer. The Senators for a second straight game immediately responded with back-to-back home runs from Sanchez and Austin Davidson in their half of the first.
The Senators then scored three in the bottom of the third to take a 5-2 lead and Sanchez hit his second homer of the game in the fourth off of Ponies starter Tommy Wilson.
