Krizan’s Two HR’s Headline Ponies Fourth Straight Win
Bowie, MD – Jason Krizan hit two homers and drove in a season-high five runs on Tuesday night as the Binghamton Rumble Ponies cruised by the Bowie Baysox 7-3 at Prince George’s Stadium, their 4th straight win. Krizan belted a two-run homer to right in the fourth inning and a 3-run blast to right in the fifth that capped off a four-run frame. Krizan now has three homers in the last two games he played.
Krizan’s first homer made it 3-0 Ponies and his second put the visitors ahead 7-0. Ruben Tejada playing in his first game in a Rumble Ponies uniform put Binghamton on the board with an RBI single in the third, finishing 2-5, with an RBI and run scored. Ali Sachez also had a multi-hit game, with an RBI single in the fifth.
Lefthander David Peterson earned his first win since April 23 as he went five innings, allowing three hits and no earned runs to go to 2-2 on the year. Peterson has not allowed more than one earned run over his last four outings.
The Rumble Ponies (25-15) go for the three-game sweep of the Baysox (16-28) tomorrow morning, with first pitch set for 11:05 on CBS Sports Radio 1360 WYOS and on the Binghamton Rumble Ponies channel on TuneIn. The Horizons Federal Credit Union pregame show begins at 10:50.
POSTGAME NOTES: The Rumble Ponies move to a season-high ten games over .500 and will go for their fifth straight win tomorrow, which would tie their season-long…Binghamton is now 15-3 against the Western Division, and 10-1 against them on the road…Kevin Kaczmarksi also finished 2-4 with a run scored.
