SWB Posts 13th Consecutive Win over Buffalo

Moosic, Pa. – The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) continued their dominance of the Buffalo Bisons (Toronto Blue Jays) with a 5-1 homestand-opening thumping of their divisional foes on Tuesday night. The RailRiders (69-39) improved to a season-best 30 games above .500 with their fourth straight win overall and 13th in a row over the Bisons (45-64).

Down 1-0, SWB roared into the lead with three straight hits off starter Chris Rowley (3-4), capped off by a three-run homer from Billy McKinney.

The RailRiders plated a pair of insurance scores in the seventh. Donovan Solano doubled Mason Williams home while Cito Culver’s sac fly scored Jake Cave.

SWB starter Chance Adams (7-3) gave up one run over six innings for his third straight quality start and the win.

The series continues at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday night. SWB right-hander Bryan Mitchell (2-2, 3.42) is scheduled to oppose southpaw T.J.
