Moosic, Pa. – The Durham Bulls upended the SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) 8-4 in a rain-shortened tilt on Saturday night at PNC Field. The game was called due to rain in the ninth inning. The RailRiders (78-47) have dropped consecutive home series for the first time since June of last year. The Bulls (77-48) are the only team to clinch a winning record against SWB thus far.

The RailRiders led 3-1 entering the eighth inning, but Durham struck for six runs against Nick Rumbelow (5-1) and Ben Heller. Four of the six runs were charged to Rumbelow, who walked two and yielded two hits. The inning featured a RailRiders throwing error, two wild pitches and a three-run homer by Kean Wong. The Bulls were 4-for-5 with men in scoring position in the decisive frame. Mike Broadway (1-1) takes the win after two scoreless innings in relief.

Greg Bird played in his fourth game on rehab with SWB and finished 2-for-4 as the designated hitter. He doubled in the sixth and scored on a groundball double play. Bird is 6-for-14 (.429) in four games with a double, two homers, four RBIs and four runs scored.
