PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (September 24, 2019) – The day was full of music, ministry and fellowship at NQC 2019, presented by Christian Healthcare Ministries, on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. The day began with morning chapel service featuring the Whisnants, worship by Mike Peck and a message by Randy Perry.
Moving to the afternoon, Karen Peck & New River was featured during a special segment called "Person to Person," offering an inside look into their ministry. Next up was the SGMA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony honoring Ruben Bean, Ernie Phillips, Jackie Wilburn, and Gerald Wolfe. Tributes to each honoree were performed by the 3 Heath Brothers, Greater Vision, the Guardians, Wilburn & Wilburn, Joseph Habedank, Karen Peck & New River, Kingsmen, McKameys, and Tribute.
Next up it was the evening concerts, hosted by Josh Franks. Tonight's performers were: The Blackwood Brothers Quartet, Dixie Echoes, Endless Highway, Gold City Quartet, Guardians Quartet, Wilburn & Wilburn, Kingdom Heirs, The Littles, The Mark Trammell Quartet., Master's Voice, The McKameys, The Nelons, The Perrys, Primitive Quartet., Tribute Quartet, Heart 2 Heart, Kramers, Rochesters, The Sound and the Ferguson Family.
Highlights this evening included: The McKameys as they began their last performances at NQC, the beloved family group is set to retire in November 2019, Tribute Quartet premiering a few new songs from their forthcoming, Daniel Riley making his first appearance with Gold City after a very serious accident, Libbi Perry Stuffle wearing a vintage dress that Facebook users pledged money to the SGMA to see her wear it, the Kingdom Heirs performing new music from a recent release, and so much more!
Presented by Christian Healthcare Ministries, NQC - the National Quartet Convention - continues until Saturday, September 29, 2019, at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, TN. Over 40,000 people are expected to enjoy the concerts and festivities planned.

Wednesday at NQC 2019 will feature an afternoon matinee with Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Inspirations, Kingdom Heirs, and Triumphant, the 50th Annual Singing News Fan Awards, and of course the evening concerts.
NQC - the National Quartet Convention - was founded in 1957 by gospel music legend and former backup vocalist for Elvis Presley, J.D. Sumner who co-produced the event with James Blackwood. The annual convention was moved in later years to Nashville, TN and then to Louisville, KY where it was held for 20 years.
