PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (September 26, 2019) –  It was a terrific Thursday filled with music and message at NQC, the National Quartet Convention, presented by Christian Healthcare Ministries. The day started bright and early with morning chapel service as Greater Vision provided special music and Mike Speck led the crowd in worship, followed by a message from one of the most dynamic preachers today, C.T. Townsend.

Moving forward into the day, Dr. Robert Jeffress was once again a special guest speaker. His sermon title was "A Place Called Heaven," describing 10 surprising truths about your eternal home. This sermon was met with a wondrous ovation and stirred the hearts of the attendees.

Next up was Dennis Swanberg's comedy showcase, filling hearts with laughter. NQC always loves 'The Swan."

To round out the afternoon, the NQC Board of Directors along with Crossroads Music Group presented a special tribute and farewell to The McKameys, who are set to retire in November 2019. The crowd showered the family group with displays of love and displayed just how special this family is to the Gospel music world. They have definitely made their mark on this industry and will be missed.

The evening concerts were hosted by Duane Garren. Tonight's performers were: 11th Hour, Collingsworth Family, Dixie Echoes, Ernie Haase & Sig. Sound, Greater Vision, Inspirations, Isaacs, Wilburn & Wilburn, Joseph Habedank, Karen Peck & New River, LeFevre Quartet, Mark Trammell Qt., Martins, Primitive Qt., Talleys, Tribute, Triumphant, Children of the Promise, Hinsons, Jay Stone Singers, Sunday Drive, Wilbanks, and Timothy Noble

Among tonight's highlights were the smooth sounds of the Dixie Echoes, the exciting performances from Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Wilburn & Wilburn joined by Dean & Kim Hopper on the classic Gold City tune, "There Rose A Lamb," along with the Collingsworth Family bringing their family harmony to the stage. The Mark Trammell Quartet always delivers a classy set and tonight was no different as Mark's robust baritone voice was featured on the song, "The King Is Coming," and Joseph Habedank had the audience in tears as he shared his testimony and then brought up former drug and alcohol addicts that were rehabbed now - each one of them displaying how many days they had been clean to the audience – during his song, "The Beauty of the Blood." Triumphant Quartet got the crowd on their feet with the rousing "Going There," proving once more why they were voted favorite quartet and favorite artist at the 50th Anniversary of the Singing News. And, once again, the Isaacs had the crowd enraptured with their heavenly harmonies. The Martins were back at NQC after a few years and the crowd welcomed them back with open arms as they performed their beloved tunes.
