RAILRIDERS BLAST BISONS 10-0

RailRiders Bamboozle Bisons
Dietrich Enns Spins Seven Scoreless for the Win

Moosic, Pa. – The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) steamrolled the bewildered Buffalo Bisons 10-0 on Wednesday night at PNC Field. The 14 shutouts wins posted by the RailRiders (54-33) are the most in the minors.

The 10-run margin of victory was the largest for SWB on the season. The RailRiders have won seven straight over the Bisons (48-39) and have outscored Buffalo 28-5 in the last five meetings combined.

Dietrich Enns (3-1) put together his best start at Triple-A, spinning seven scoreless innings for the win. He allowed two hits and a pair of walks while striking out five. John Anderson (1-3) was rocked for seven runs on nine hits in just 2.1 frames.

Aaron Judge slammed a double to left-center in the first inning to score Donovan Solano for a 1-0 lead. Solano’s second knock of the night plated Jonathan Diaz pushed the lead to 2-0.

SWB pulled away with a five-run third. Tyler Austin and Cesar Puello slugged back-to-back homers on the outset. Ben Gamel drove in Jake Cave with a single and Solano clubbed a two-run double to straightaway center that capped the pivotal frame.

Cave poured on more steam with a two-run round-tripper off reliever Bobby Korecky in the fourth. The shot was Cave’s fourth of the season.

Solano’s fourth hit of the night, a single to right, produced the game’s final tally when Diaz scored from second. It was Solano’s second four-hit game in three outings.

In all, the RailRiders’ 17 hits fell one shy of their season high-water mark. Eight RailRiders reached base safely.
