RAILRIDERS 4, BISONS 3

Andujar Singles RailRiders Past Bisons in Extras
SWB Secures Their Eighth Straight Win Against Buffalo

Moosic, Pa. – The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) rallied past the Buffalo Bisons to score a 4-3 win in 11 innings and a sweep of the three-game series. The RailRiders (54-32) improved to 6-0 in overtime affairs and secured their eighth straight win against the Bisons (37-50).

It was Miguel Andujar who brought in the deciding runs in the last of the 11th on a bases-loaded single to center. The heroics allowed Joe Mantiply (4-3) the win in relief. The left-hander allowed a run on four hits over two innings of work. Murphy Smith (2-2) shouldered defeat after allowing the game-clinching hit.

In his return to SWB, Jonathan Diaz sparked the last chance comeback on his third hit of the day, a single to center. Jake Cave then scalded a grounder to first that was misplayed by Jason Leblebijian. The error allowed the runners into scoring position. The Bisons intentionally walked Mark Payton to create a force play at any bag, but Andujar drove a single up the middle to plate the winning runs.

Dietrich Enns took a no decision in the start for the RailRiders. The left-hander hurled six innings and allowed one run on five hits. He walked one and struck out four.
