Lugo to Make Rehab Start with Ponies on Sunday
BINGHAMTON, NY – Seth Lugo, a member of the 2015 Binghamton Mets, will return to the Southern Tier to make a Major League rehab start for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies at NYSEG Stadium on Sunday night at 6:35 PM. Lugo is returning to action following a partial tear in the UCL in his right elbow.
Lugo, 27, made his Major League debut with the New York Mets last season. The righty went 5-2 with a 2.67 ERA in 17 games (8 starts). In March of 2017, he made three starts with Team Puerto Rico in the World Baseball Classic.
In 2015, Lugo made 19 starts for the Binghamton Mets. He went 6-5 with a 3.80 ERA.
Tickets for Sunday’s game can be purchased at any time at the Rumble Ponies’ website ( The NYSEG Stadium box office opens at 9 AM on Monday. Fans can also call (607) 722-FUNN starting at 9 AM on Monday to purchase tickets for Monday’s game.
