B-METS TO HONOR MAINE-ENDWELL LL TEAM

Maine-Endwell LL Team to be Honored Saturday
BINGHAMTON, NY – The 2016 Little League World Series Champion Maine-Endwell team will be honored in a ceremony on Saturday at 6:30 PM prior to the Binghamton Mets game against the Erie SeaWolves. The 11 players, along with manager Scott Rush and his coaching staff will be recognized for their spectacular 24-0 season that culminated in a world title on Sunday.
“This team captured the attention and hearts of the Southern Tier community,” said B-Mets General Manager Jim Weed. “We want to give them the honor they deserve for bringing a world championship home.”
After knocking off Tennessee to win the United [States championship on Saturday, the Maine-Endwell squad beat South Korea, 2-1, in a thriller in front of 23,211 in Williamsport on Sunday. They became the first US team since 2011 to win the ultimate title.
Each player will be introduced on the field and presented with a personalized bat courtesy of Cooperstown Bat Company and McDonalds.
