Rain Suspends Tuesday’s Game vs. Fightin Phils
BINGHAMTON, NY – Tuesday night’s game between the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and the Reading Fightin Phils was suspended due to inclement weather heading into the bottom of the fourth inning with the Fightin Phils leading 4-0 at NYSEG Stadium.
The game will be resumed Wednesday afternoon, beginning at 12:05 PM. Following the completion of that game, Wednesday’s regularly scheduled game will be played as a seven-inning game.
Fans holding tickets to Tuesday’s game can redeem them for tickets of equal or lesser value to any future 2019 Rumble Ponies regular season home game.
The Fightins scored one in the first on an Alec Bohm RBI single. Reading added another run in the third on a Mickey Moniak single. Josh Stephen and Austin Bossart led off the fourth with back-to-back homers.
Lefty David Peterson was taken out after 3.1 innings, allowing four runs on eight hits. The Ponies tallied two hits, compliments of Peterson and Luis Carpio.
Wednesday’s games can be heard on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies channel on TuneIn. The Horizons Federal Credit Union pregame show starts at 11:50 AM.
