WOMEN'S WORLD GOLF RANKINGS

The Women’s World Golf Rankings recently approved flagship events for four tours in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings – the China Ladies Professional Golf Association TOUR (CLPGA), Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS), Symetra Tour and Taiwan Ladies Professional Golf Association (TLPGA).

 

The flagship events and the minimum strength of field (SOF) that each will receive are as follows:

 

• CLPGA                              China Ladies Open (December 13-16); minimum strength of field of 50
• LETAS                               Bossey Ladies Championship (August 15-17); minimum strength of field of 25
• Symetra Tour                  Donald Ross Classic at French Lick Resort (July 12-14); minimum strength of field of 50
• TLPGA                              TLPGA & Royal Ladies Open (September 14-16); minimum strength of field of 50

 

The flagship designation was awarded to a premier event on each tour’s schedule based on factors such as event history, purse and tournament field. Top finishers in these events will be rewarded with a greater number of rankings points, giving them a stronger opportunity to move up the rankings based on their performance in their tour’s biggest events.
