Dear Valued Binghamton Mets Fan,
The Binghamton Mets are proud to partner with
the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier (MHAST) for the inaugural Do
it for Daron (DIFD) Power to the Purple game, to be held Friday, June
10 at NYSEG Stadium. The B-Mets play host to the Hartford Yard Goats that
night with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. The evening's festivities
also include a special appearance by Mrs. Met and post-game fireworks presented
by Toyota.
Started in memory of 14-year old Daron Richardson,
who lost her life to suicide in 2010, DIFD aims to inspire conversation about
youth mental illness and encourages young people to ask for help when needed.
The B-Mets ask all fans to wear purple to the game to show your support. All fans
wearing purple are invited to take part in a special group photo on the field
following the fireworks show.
Fans can purchase specially discounted $6
tickets online using the promo code DIFD, with a portion of each
ticket to benefit MHAST and their work in our community. Tickets can also be
purchased in person at the NYSEG Stadium Box Office or by calling (607)
723-METS (must mention promo code DIFD before ordering).
