BETHEL, NY (March 4, 2019) –Festivals at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts celebrate the bounty, talent and beauty of Sullivan County and the surrounding areas. They are a much-anticipated yearly staple in the nonprofit organization’s calendar of events, reminiscent of the communal experience that occurred on the very grounds almost fifty years ago.
Festivals begin this year with the return of Harvest Festival on Sundays, September 1 – 29, followed byWine Festival on Saturday, October 5 and Craft: Beer, Spirits & Food Festival on Saturday, October 12. The festivities continue into the holiday season with Holiday Market on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8.
While Harvest Festival and Holiday Market are free community events, tickets are now on-sale for both Wine and Craft: Beer, Spirits & Food Festivals. Tickets are available for purchase atwww.BethelWoodsCenter.org, Ticketmaster and by phone at 1.800.745.3000. Purchase between now and June 1st for early bird prices. New this year, take advantage of even more savings by way of the Wine Festival & Craft: Beer, Spirits & Food Festival Combo Ticket.
Harvest Festival: Sundays, September 1 – 29 | 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

A family-friendly and free event, the Harvest Festival celebrates local products, green initiatives and community. Each week, nearly 100 vendors engage in this shared experience on the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. Friends and neighbors are welcomed to enjoy a unique blend of farmers market, artisan and crafters, fresh food, special events, family activities and creative learning programming, corn and hay mazes, horse and buggy rides, and performances by talented regional musicians on the Festival Stage each week. Parking lots open at 10:30 AM. Pets are not allowed on the grounds.
Beginning August 31 and coinciding with the first Harvest Festival date, Bethel Woods proudly presentsMind: Body: Earth, a two-day event in which innovators in health, sustainability and mindfulness explore how wellness leads to kindness and civility. This is part of the eight-event series Vibrations, which critically examines the legacy of the past to resonate with the movements of today through open conversation.
Wine Festival: Saturday, October 5 | 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, VIP Admission begins at Noon
Early Bird Pricing: $25 General Admission, $65 VIP, $10 Designated Driver valid through 6/1. All ticket prices increase $5 after 6/1 and increase an additional $5 on the week of the festival.
Savor the finest wines from the Hudson Valley and Finger Lake regions while listening to live music, participating in fun games and enjoying a food court to satisfy all cravings. Plus, Bethel Woods is excited to offer multiple pre-festival experiences for guests to enhance their day with. These include an exclusive limited-seating Paint & Sip experience on the top of the lawn overlooking the Pavilion Stage led by artist and printmaker Susan Pantaleone from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and a Vintage Run Half Marathon and 5K, beginning at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM, respectively. General admission includes unlimited sampling and a complimentary tasting glass. Designated driver tickets includes admission to the festival and to The Museum at Bethel Woods. The Craft: Beer, Spirits & Food Festival returns with the continued expansion of its craft beverage offerings, with a variety of beer, spirits, cider and mead brought to you from craft beverage makers across the region. Guests will enjoy festival food trucks, food vendors, artisans and a backdrop of live music.
General admission includes unlimited sampling and a complimentary tasting glass. Designated driver tickets include admission to the festival and to The Museum at Bethel Woods. Create art and memories with the whole family in the Holiday Craft Studio and don’t miss Photos with Santa in the Museum at Bethel Woods in front of the psychedelic bus – giving this family-favorite activity a 1969 twist!

The calendar of year-long programming begins on March 30th with the re-opening of The Museum at Bethel Woods featuring the 2019 Special Exhibit We Are Golden: Reflections on the 50th Anniversary of The Woodstock Festival & Aspirations for a Peaceful Future, wherein the desires of the youth of 1969 are examined, the festival is placed in the context of the positive societal changes it inspired and then asks today's youth what THEY desire of the world now.
