Coke Spins Gem as RailRiders Roll to Game Two Win
SWB Grabs 2-0 Advantage in Best-of-Five Series

Allentown, Pa.Phil Coke and the bullpen picked up where Jordan Montgomery and Dietrich Enns left off on Wednesday as the SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) romped the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Philadelphia Phillies) 7-0 in Game Two of the International League Division Series. The RailRiders held the IronPigs scoreless in both games at Coca-Cola Park.

Coke (1-0) limited the IronPigs to three hits across seven scoreless innings and struck out seven. He finished his outing by retiring 13 straight hitters. For the second straight night, the RailRiders were aided by amazing play in center field from Mason Williams. He robbed Jesmuel Valentin and Taylor Featherston of hits by grabbing back-to-back deep flies on the warning track in center. At the plate, Williams finished 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Donovan Solano set the tone in the first inning for the RailRiders. With two on, Solano launched a double into the right-center gap, scoring Williams for a 1-0 lead. Chris Parmelee followed with a sacrifice fly to left that drove in Clint Frazier.

Pete Kozma and Williams used consecutive, two-out hits in the fourth inning to bring in two runs for a 4-0 lead. Kyle Higashioka made it 6-0 in the fifth on a two-run double to center off reliever James Russell. Frazier doubled with two away in the sixth and came around for the game’s final tally on a single to right by Solano.
