Double-A Mets Unveil 2017 Schedule & Announce B-Mets Garage Sale
BINGHAMTON, NY – With a new identify slated for reveal next month, the Double-A Mets are proud to unveil their 2017 schedule. The team also invites fans to come to NYSEG Stadium this Saturday for a garage sale of Binghamton Mets merchandise. A PDF of the 2017 season has been attached to this release.
From 11 AM to 5 PM on Saturday fans can get an early edition of the 2017 schedule and purchase stadium signs, clubhouse chairs, game-worn jerseys, and many other Binghamton Mets-specific items from the ballpark. Food and beverage will also be available during the sale.
The team kicks off their first season with a new name against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats on the road on Thursday, April 6. The new era of professional baseball in the Southern Tier starts with the home opener against the Erie SeaWolves on Thursday, April 13.
The team will be home for five major summer holidays including Mother’s Day (May 14), Memorial Day (May 29), Father’s Day (June 18) and Labor Day (Sept 4). The club will also be home for the eve of Independence Day (July 3).
There will be eleven weekends of pro baseball in the Southern Tier, including eight from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Home games from Monday through Thursday will be scheduled to start at 6:35 PM throughout the season with the following exceptions: May 3 (Baseball in Education Day), May 29 (Memorial Day) and September 4 (Labor Day).
Friday games throughout the year will start at 7:05 PM and Saturday contests from May 27 onward will begin at 7:05 PM. The first three Saturday games are slated for 1:05 PM starts. Aside from 6:35 PM first pitches on May 28, July 5 and September 3, Sunday home games will commence at 1:05 PM.
