Promotion pairs select new ticket purchases and suite rentals with the fate of NCAA tournament teams
MOOSIC, PA (February 20, 2019) – As the end of February approaches and the men’s college basketball tournament is nearly upon us, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are marching towards their 30th Anniversary Season with a special ticket and suite rental promotion. The RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are giving fans the opportunity to pair a select ticket packages and nightly suite rentals with a team from the men’s college tournament field for a chance to win as they win.
Each new 5-Game Package purchased from February 22 through March 15 will be paired with one NCAA men’s tournament participant. Each new Bobblehead Plan purchased during that time period will get paired with two teams in the field next month. The 5-Game Package is $55 per seat and the Bobblehead Plan is $110 per seat. The team assignments will be done on Monday, March 18, after Selection Sunday via a random lottery pick system. Teams will be assigned on a per seat basis rather than being limited to one per account.
If your designated team advances, you will be given the following prizes based on performance:
- Advance to the round of 32 to receive 10 undated, open vouchers for the 2019 season
- Advance to the Sweet 16 to receive 20 undated, open vouchers for the 2019 season
- Advance to the Elite 8 to receive 30 undated, open vouchers for the 2019 season
- Advance to the Final 4 to receive 40 undated, open vouchers for the 2019 season
One person will ride their team’s success all the way to the title. If your randomly-assigned team wins the NCAA Championship, you will win 50 undated, open vouchers for the 2019 season, a personalized RailRiders jersey, an autographed 2018 Legends Series bat and four tickets to Yankee Stadium for a game during the 2019 season.
Each new nightly suite rental purchased for May through September of the 2019 season between February 22 and March 15 will be paired with a top-seeded Tournament participant. The top eight teams from each region will randomly assigned via lottery selection and incentives will be awarded as teams win. Teams will be assigned on a per suite basis rather than being limited to one per account.
If your designated team advances, you will be given the following prizes based on performance:
- Advance to the Sweet 16 to receive a $100 food credit for the suite night purchased
- Advance to the Elite 8 and receive a $200 food credit for the suite night purchased
- Advance to the Final 4 to receive a Minor League menu paid in full for your suite night purchased plus an additional $50 towards other food or beverages.
If your randomly-assigned team wins the NCAA Championship, you will win a Hall of Fame menu paid in full plus an additional $50 towards other food and beverages.
Single game tickets for the 2019 season go on sale this Friday online at 10 A.M. on swbrailriders.com and at the E-Auto Box Office in-person on Saturday, February 23. The RailRiders open the 2019 season on April 4 in Buffalo before starting their home schedule at PNC Field on April 11.
