MARIE ANN WINTERS OBITUARY

Marie Ann Winters
               


October 20, 1947 - January 8, 2018

  Marie Ann Winters, 70, of Antioch, Tenn., formerly from Monticello, NY, passed unexpectedly on January 8.
  The daughter of the late Charles and Amy Morris Winters, she was born October 20, 1947 in Liberty, NY.
  Marie had a great gift from God in knowing how to make people laugh with her great sense of humor.
  She was an amazing caregiver, always helping others with a heart so big, and in recent years worked caring for elderly women in a group home where the residents responded to her care when others could not reach them. 
   Marie adored her granddaughter Amaya and In recent years babysat and  gave care and guidance to her while Amaya's mother was working. Amaya lovingly called her "Nanne."
  She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Winters, granddaughter Amaya Winters, two sisters, Shirley Townsend and her husband Ed of Livingston Manor, NY, Barbara Cross and her husband David of Spring Hill, Tenn., three brothers Charles Winters of Liberty, NY, Donald Winters and his wife Pam of Liberty, NY, and Richard Winters and his wife Lynn of Liberty, NY, one aunt, Jean Winters of Liberty, NY, cousins,  nephews,  nieces,  great nephews and great nieces. 
  A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. January 20 at the Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Sherwood of the Spring Hill United Methodist Church officiating. 
  Memorial donations in Marie's name can be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 78851, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8851
  Burial of her ashes and graveside services will take place in the spring at the Liberty Cemetery. 
  Local arrangements at that time will be under the direction of the Harris Funeral Home in Liberty.
