SULLIVAN COUNTY GC UP FOR SALE

 Golfing Highlights

There is no immediate sale pending for the Sullivan County Golf & Country Club on Route 52 in Liberty but a large realty sign is located on the property adjacent to the golf course parking lot.
It has been no secret that the golf course is for sale as a number of golf league members have firmly stated that in recent conversations.
Performing the duties as operations manager of the golf course is 20-year restaurant operator Sal Cracolici  who is the owner and manager of Cracolici's On The Green Restaurant located in the golf course clubhouse.
Cracolici displays a lot of enthusiasm and optimism about the continued operation of the golf course and his outstanding attitude carries over when talking about his newly elected post as trustee on the Village of Liberty board of trustees.
He believes very strongly that the Village of Liberty will see new growth and that the board will work hard to get taxes lowered.
A resident of the village Sal came to Liberty some five years ago and opened the new restaurant which features mostly Italian food. He leases the restaurant facilities from the golf course board of directions.
Sal is formerly  from Newburgh where he operated a restaurant for 15 years and also served on the Newburgh City Council.
"I'm community minded and see good things coming to Liberty and this golf course," Cracolici said.
The Sullivan County Golf & Country Club is owned by members who are stockholders and a board of directors. Larry Eisenberg is president of the board of directors.
Tony Hirsch is the groundskeeper for the club.
Cracolici said that his goal at the golf course "is to let the general public know that Sullivan County Golf & Country Club welcomes all players from beginners to experienced players and that everyone can have fun here."
He pointed out that the course offers a beautiful view and is a challenging course with affordable green fees of $25 during week days for 9 or 18 holes of golf with a cart and $35 on the weekend for 18 holes.
The Club offers a nine and dine Friday special.
Special group rates of 20 or more is also available.
The course also offers company outings for employees  as well as tournaments for fund raisers. A number of tournaments hold annual events.  Clubs are available  for rent.
Certificate membership for this course that was opened in 1925 are available.
The course plays host to four leagues, Monday Men's, Tuesday Ladies, Wednesday Men's  and a Mixed league on Thursday.
Available on the  is the 8th tee menu  which allows out on the course to use their cell phones and call in an order which will be ready when them make the turn or come in to the dining room or lounge.
Sullivan County Golf & Country Club has 25 carts for rental.
A Sullivan County Golf & Country Club Champions board located in the cocktail lounge contains names of club champions from 1935 to 1988 with 13 club championships won by the late John "Jack" Coughlin, a true gentleman and outstanding golfer.
This nine hole golf course  offers a whole set of different tees for holes 10-18 and plays to a total yardage of 3,006 yards for nine holes from the men's tees. Par is 36.for men and 39 for women.  Periscopes are installed on the 1st and 7th tees to give golfers a view further down the fairways and this avoids golfers hitting into each other.
