McMichael Tourney Raises $4,400

CALLICOON--Organizers of the 2ed Annual Kathy McMichael Memorial Golf Tournament held Sunday, September 26 at the Villa Roma Golf & Country Club termed the event a great success with the raising of over $4,400 which will go towards helping local families who have been struck with catastrophic illnesses.
Tournament organizers noted that with the support of their Sullivan County BOCES family and their local communities the paperwork was completed and signed this past summer whereby the Kathy McMichael Memorial Foundation officially became a foundation under "The Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan" and that they are working with the Community Foundation to develop an application process and bylaws.
The Sullivan County BOCES family expressed their sincere thanks for helping continue Kathy McMichael's legacy and noted that "through Kathy's inspiration, courage and love of life, Kathy influenced our hearts to help those in need and that she was an outstanding colleague, a devoted mother, daughter, sister and a loyal friend."
Kathy was a teachers assistant at Sullivan County BOCES for six years and passed away on May 5, 2008 after a long battle with cancer at the young age of 41.
Organizers of this tournament included Jeff Molusky, Theresa Panny, Cathy Poppo, Tanya Zeygers and Verna Darby.
