RailRiders Playoff Tickets on Sale
Record-Setting Season Could Wrap with Franchise’s Second Championship
Moosic, Pa. - What a run it has been. From the Mark Teixeira meet-and-greet
extravaganza in February to the rousing success that was the Yankees
Legends Series, the banner 2016 campaign has been one for the ages. And
the good times keep on rolling. In addition to the upcoming Jimmy Cefalo Day on
August 27 at PNC Field, the first-place SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/New
York Yankees) are excited to announce that playoff tickets are on sale
now.
Tickets may be purchased by phone at 570-969-BALL (2255) or
in person at the PNC Field box office, open Monday through Friday from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, tickets
may be purchased online at SWBRailRiders.com or through Ticketmaster.
"A great year rolls on and hopefully it ends with our second Governors' Cup," said SWB General Manager Jeremy Ruby. "We are looking forward to having a playoff atmosphere back at PNC Field."
SWB currently owns the best record in Triple-A at 79-48 and have a magic
number of nine to clinch a postseason berth. They lead the Lehigh
Valley IronPigs by three games in the International League North
Division. RailRiders fans have had the opportunity to watch rising
Yankees stars such as Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez and Tyler Austin this summer and there is still a chance to see top prospects Clint Frazier and Luis Severino and IL All-Star Ben Gamel.
Should the RailRiders claim the IL North, they would open their
best-of-five First-Round Governors' Cup Series at the wild-card winner's
ballpark. Game One would be played on September 7 and Game Two would come on September 8. The RailRiders' first playoff home game would be on Friday, September 9. If
necessary, a Game Four would come on Saturday, September 10 and a
potential Game Five would be played on Sunday, September 11.
Should
the RailRiders advance to the best-of-five Governors' Cup Finals, they
would play the first two games at PNC Field on September 13 and 14 with
Game Three at the winner of the South/West First Round Series matchup on
September 15. If necessary, Games Four and Five would follow on September 16 and 17.
Ticket prices for playoff games include: Club & 4Topp - $15; Infield
Box - $10; Field Reserve/RailHouse - $8; Bleachers - $5; Lawn - $5.
The RailRiders will host Jimmy Cefalo Day on Saturday, August 27 against
the Rochester Red Wings (Minnesota Twins) with an appearance by the
Penn State/Miami Dolphins standout and hometown legend. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. For more information please call (570) 969-BALL (2255) or visit swbrailriders.com.
