RailRiders University Summer Camps set for July and August
Players ages 7-14 to be trained by RailRiders staff and players during July and August camps at PNC Field
MOOSIC, PA (June 22, 2018) – RailRiders University has announced two upcoming summer camps at PNC Field. Presented by Geisinger Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, the RailRiders University Summer Camps will take place from July 24, 25 and 27 and from August 14 through 16.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders Manager Bobby Mitchell and his staff will lead the camps along with Hazleton native Russ Canzler. Mitchell will focus on base running, while Canzler and RailRiders Hitting Coach Phil Plantier will key on hitting. RailRiders Pitching Coach Tommy Phelps will lead the groups focused on pitching, while Bullpen Coach Doug Davis and Defensive Coach Travis Chapman will work on fundamentals of defense. RailRiders Strength and Conditioning Coach Brad Hyde will help players focus on speed and agility.
Participant Benefits Include:
* Daily visits from RailRiders
* Camp sessions conducted on PNC Field and in the bullpen where the professionals play
* Four tickets for the July 17 and/or August 16 games
* A pre-game parade and on-field participation prior to the games on July 17 or August 16
The RailRiders University Summer Camp is $150.00 per player. Space is limited, but players can sign up for both camps for a total of $250.00 per person.
