WET GROUNDS HALT PLAY IN FIFTH

RailRiders and G-Braves Suspended
Wet Grounds Forces Halt to Play in the Fifth

Durham, N.C. – The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) and Gwinnett Braves were suspended in the middle of the fifth inning on Tuesday at PNC Field. Play was halted due to wet grounds with the Braves up 5-2.

The game will be resumed at 6:05 p.m. and played to it’s entirety. Wednesday’s originally scheduled tilt will commence 30 minutes after the suspended game’s conclusion and will be set for seven innings.

Run-scoring hits by Ji-Man Choi and Cito Culver gave the RailRiders a 2-1 edge before Gwinnett rallied for four runs in the top of the third against starter Domingo German. The right-hander allowed five runs, four earned, on eight hits over five innings. He walked two and struck out three.

The 2016 Gildan Triple-A National Champion RailRiders continue their series against the Gwinnett Braves (Atlanta Braves) with Wine and Dine Wednesday! For tickets or more information, please call 570-969-BALL (2255) or visit swbrailriders.com.
