:    SUMMER AT BETHEL WOODS IS HEATING UP In the Kitchen on the Main Stage and in an all new Pre-show Lounge BETHEL, NY (June 13, 2017) –  Spring of 2017 brought a wide range of exciting programming to Bethel Woods – from Night in the Woods, a party for a cause, to Love For Sale: Commercialization of the Counterculture, The Museum’s new special exhibit set in a 1970 suburban home, to Project: Identity’s free teen programs that explored the arts and humanities. Now as summer begins to heat up, Bethel Woods has also been added to the State and National Registers of Historic Places. Bethel Woods is proud to announce the launch a new, more interactive mobile app with tons of new features including geo-based alerts, special offers, group subscriptions, My Planner, and much more. As part of Bethel Woods’ continued commitment to public safety, the organization’s bag policy has been updated. Effective immediately, guests will be able to carry only the following style and size bag, package, or container into the Pavilion: Totes that are clear bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12." Items in the bag must be in clear plastic bags. (Ziploc bag or similar). One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar). Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Please contact security at least 24 hours in advance to request an exception at 845-583-2062. Clear plastic totes will be sold at cost, at the front gates to accommodate guests. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, hard or soft coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size. Additionally, this season Bethel Woods, together with our partner Spectra Food Service & Hospitality, will offer some exciting additions and enhancements to the food and beverage services onsite. The Green Room, located in the first Market Shed, will open 90 minutes before general admission through a Green Room only gate, allowing guests to beat the crowd and get in early to enjoy the exclusive pre-show lounge featuring a full-service bar and restrooms, pub-style games and activities, and more surprises. Overlooking the historic Woodstock festival field, the all-you-can-eat Buffet in the second Market Shed, will also feature a delicious new menu of entrees, sides and deserts prepared fresh. Beverages include lemonade, iced tea, and coffee, with a cash bar available. Private table seating offers friends and families a relaxed opportunity to enjoy a pre-show meal under cover of the Market Shed. Tickets for both The Green Room and the Buffet are available as add-ons when you purchase a ticket for a Pavilion concert or at BethelWoodsCenter.org. Spectra’s new General Manager Louis Atchick and Executive Chef Armand Vanderstigel are also introducing new menu items and services this season at Bethel Woods. Atchick, relocated to Bethel from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California where he led the full service dining, high volume catering, luxury suite service, multi-service concessions and bar operations for the 16,000 seat arena. He is dedicated to creating the best possible fan experience for Bethel Woods’ guests. Atchick said, “As a child of the 70’s, I consider working at Bethel Woods to be a dream Job. I’m really looking forward to being a part of the growing community of the town of Bethel and the surrounding areas.” Chef Armand has been a featured chef and judge on almost 100 TV shows, been hired to develop recipes and as a spokesperson for a variety of nationally recognized brands, and penned three widely recognized cookbooks. Now he will focus his many talents on providing the Bethel Woods audience with tasty options at each of the on-site eateries including Yasgur’s Farm Café in The Museum, The Buffet, Food For Love Concessions, the Hog Farm Bar & Grill, Groovy Way Kitchen, and the members-only TD Bank VIP Area. In addition to these new exciting ventures, Bethel Woods is still actively recruiting high-energy, dedicated individuals for many seasonal positions. This special exhibition directly explores the social, political, and cultural impact of the ‘60s through an examination of the material pop culture in everyday suburban life.
