The Dutchess County Fair, Powers Great American Midway and the GreenZone Hero organizations are teaming up to treat Dutchess County Gold Star and deployed families to a day of fun at the Dutchess County Fair. Guests will be treated to a day of free rides and food along with all the traditional Fair activities. Invitations were sent to the families through the Survivor Outreach Services Program Manager.
“We have paid tribute to veterans over the past years and were looking to find a way to honor families of those still serving or having lost a loved one in service,” said Andy Imperati, Manager of the Dutchess County Fair. “What a privilege it is to be able to say thank you to these special people.”
The GreenZone Hero mission is to recognize businesses that honor our veterans and military and help those businesses succeed. We provide support tools for businesses including a new Community Outreach Program with Strong Eagle Media. The GreenZone Hero movement has expanded nationwide as industry leaders join. GreenZone Hero also works to raise the profile of veteran-focused nonprofit foundations and to help raise donations and support for Ambassador Organizations.
John Krotec, founder of GreenZone Hero and Veteran himself said, “We admire these visionary businesses that are leading the way in their respective industries and see the value of being a veteran-friendly business. Our goal is to support them and honor our Veterans. I am honored how many GreenZone Hero companies see the intrinsic value effect of doing the right thing.”
Dutchess County Fair, run by the Dutchess County Agricultural Society, Inc, a 501C3 not-for-profit, is open August 22-27, 2017. Powers Great American Midway, of Burgaw, NC, has been the carnival operator at the Dutchess County Fair since 2005. Their 53 rides for all ages is one of the highlights of the Fair.
