RailRiders Roll Past Indianapolis
Dan Camarena Whiffs a Triple-A Career Best Seven

The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) rallied from an early
three-run deficit to knock off the Indianapolis Indians 6-3 on Friday
night at PNC Field. The RailRiders (11-9) improved to 3-1 against the
Indians (6-14) this season.
Daniel Camarena (2-0)
allowed three runs on four hits in the first two innings, but settled
in to fire six frames. He struck out a Triple-A career high seven and
only walked one. He retired 11 of the final 12 batters he faced. Steven
Brault (0-3) shouldered the defeat after surrendering four runs on seven
hits in 4.2 stanzas. He walked four with only three strikeouts.
The Indians scored the game’s first three before Ruben Tejada quickly
closed the gap with a two-run homer in the last of the second. The shot
to right field was his second of the year. SWB tied the game on a
two-out single by Ji-Man Choi in the third.
SWB took the lead for good in the fifth when Dustin Fowler tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Clint Frazier. Fowler finished the night 2-for-2 and reached four times with two walks.
Consecutive doubles by Billy Fleming and Eddy Rodriguez
made it 5-3 in the sixth and a Fowler’s second knock scored Rodriguez
for the final tally later in the frame. Fleming finished 1-for-4 in his
Triple-A debut.
The
2016 Gildan Triple-A National Champion RailRiders continues their
series with the Indianapolis Indians (Pittsburgh Pirates) at PNC Field
on Saturday evening. First pitch is set for 4:05 p.m. Right-hander Brady Lail (1-0, 5.28) is scheduled to pitch against right-hander Josh Lindblom (0-2, 2.65).
