The Red Wings took an early lead in the contest with a triple on a line drive in the top of the third and a run by Drew Maggi, who scored on a LaMonte Wade sacrifice fly to right Fielder Trey Amburgey who made it a close play at the plate, but the throw was a little late in getting to Ryan Lavarnway at home.
