Infielder Extends Hitting Streak to 12 with Fifth Inning Shot
Moosic, Pa. – The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) saw their five-game winning streak snapped in a 4-1 loss to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs on Friday night at PNC Field. The IronPigs (54-34) are now within a half-game of the RailRiders (54-33) for first place in the International League North Division.
Brandon Leibrant (2-0) retired 12 straight hitters to start the game for Lehigh Valley. He finished his night after six innings, yielding a run on one hit with six strikeouts. Chance Adams (6-3) absorbed the loss for SWB. The right-hander fanned six over five innings, but allowed two runs on three hits and three walks.
Making his sixth career appearance at first base, Donovan Solano broke up Leibrandt’s perfecto with a lead off homer in the fifth. The booming shot to left was his first of the season and extended his hitting streak to 12 games.
Two homers from Cozens backed the IronPigs and Herlis Rodriguez launched a solo shot to right in the seventh.

A first pitch of 6:35 p.m. will feature right-handerBrady Lail (5-2, 4.73) against left-hander Cesar Ramos (4-3, 3.86).
