FAIR HANDBOOKS AVAILABLE

                                            
ENTRIES TELL THE FAIR STORY

Rhinebeck, NY.... The Dutchess County Fair Exhibitor Handbooks are now available online and registering for the hundreds of classes and competitions at the 2017 Dutchess County Fair. This year's fair is held August 22 - 27 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck NY.
            With less than 30 thirty something days to go, county residents and adjoining neighbors are encouraged to get their entries in by the August 1st deadline.  Exhibit categories include; vegetables, flowers, quilts, crafts, baked goods, antiques, loads of children's crafts, art projects and much more. Livestock including: sheep, goats, horses, llamas, dairy cows, beef cattle, rabbits and chickens are also well represented in classes on Livestock Hill. Most entries have an August 1stdeadline in order to compete, but there are exceptions (such as vegetables, flowers and field crops) so it is recommended that you refer to each handbook for all deadlines and additional rules and regulations.
            Anyone without a computer can easily obtain an Exhibitor Handbook by going to the following Town Halls in; Amenia,  Clinton, Dover, East Fishkill, Fishkill, Hyde Park, Lagrange, Milan, Millbrook, Pine Plains, Pleasant Valley, Poughkeepsie (City & Town Halls), 
Red  Hook, Rhinebeck, Stanford, Ulster, Union Vale and Wappingers Falls. The Village Halls of Fishkill, Millerton and Tivoli also have the books available. Additionally, the Clinton Library, Kingston City Hall, Ulster Town Hall, Starr Library, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Mac's Agway (Red Hook), Hackett's Agway,(Salt Point), Millerton Agway, Chatham Agway, Claverack Agway, GE Masten’s Feed (Pleasant Valley) and the Fairgrounds Office have the books on hand for your convenience.
            Aside from the Exhibitor Handbooks, the Fair's website www.dutchessfair.com also offers all information for advance admission and concert tickets and the various at the gate promotions throughout the week of the Fair.  Children 11 years and under are admitted free each day.
