Allen Iverson to Headline Dunkin’ Donuts Fanfest

NBA Hall of Famer and 76ers Great to Appear at Gildan Triple-A National Championship Game

Moosic, Pa. – The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/ New York Yankees) are excited to announce that Allen Iverson will be on hand for the Gildan Triple-A National Championship Game on September 19, 2017 at PNC Field! Iverson will appear at the Dunkin’ Donuts Fanfest and will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

“Including two great 76ers and basketball ambassadors to the Fanfest and the National Championship Game are great additions to our celebrity lineup,” said RailRiders Team President Josh Olerud. “The opportunity to not just see the two greats, but to meet them, will help us generate additional charitable funds to help us surpass our goal of raising over $250,000 for the event.”

Philadelphia 76ers great World B. Free will also join Iverson during the Dunkin’ Donuts Fanfest for a public appearance at 5:30 p.m. The RailRiders will be selling a limited amount of 76 special tickets for $100 to get a signed photo of Iverson and World B. Free. The special ticket includes two Field Reserve tickets to the Gildan Triple-A National Championship Game. Proceeds from the ticket sales will benefit the SWB Pinstripes Foundation and Stand Up 2 Cancer. Also appearing at the Fanfest will be former SWB Red Barons Jason Grimsley, a two-time World Series champion, and Andy Ashby, a two-time National League All-Star.

The Dunkin’ Donuts Fanfest will have something for fans of all ages. There will be face painters, stilt walkers and an inflatable zone, presented by Major League Baseball, for the kids. Other special appearances include Yankees affiliates’ mascots and Tux from the Wilkes-Barres/Scranton Penguins! The Trenton Thunder bat dogs, Rookie and Derby will be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs as well!

 

2017 playoff tickets are on sale! The RailRiders will donate $1 for every playoff ticket purchased to Hurricane Harvey Relief. Additionally, the RailRiders are offering a ticket exchange for single game purchasers of Playoff Game A.  Tickets can be exchanged at the PNC Field Box office for any other 2017 Playoff Game (once games become necessary) or a 2018 regular season game.  This does not apply to any Pay As We Play playoff packages.
