SWB RailRiders Media Day scheduled for April 3 at PNC Field
Players and field staff available to local media for interviews prior to start of 2018 season
MOOSIC, PA. (March 28, 2018) – The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, will hold their annual Media Day on Tuesday, April 3, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at PNC Field. Players and field staff will be available for interviews between 1:30 and 3 p.m.
After open media availability ends, players will hit in the cages and are scheduled to take the field, weather-permitting, at 4 p.m. Batting practice will be held at approximately 4:50 p.m.
Press credentials will be distributed at the event and a representative from each local media outlet will be required to sign a credential agreement form as mandated by Minor League Baseball. For those unable to attend Media Day, press credentials can be picked up at the RailRiders front office beginning Thursday, April 5, during normal business hours. The 2018 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders Media Guide will be available on Opening Day upon request.
The RailRiders will open the 2018 season at home next Friday, April 6, at 7:05 p.m. against the Syracuse Chiefs. Tickets for Opening Day or any other game during the season are available online at swbrailriders.com or by phone at (570) 969-BALL.
