Former Binghamton Mets General Manager Bill Terlecky Passes Away
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies mourn the passing of former Binghamton Mets General Manager Bill Terlecky on Thursday night after a courageous battle with cancer. Terlecky, 65, was the Binghamton Mets General Manager from 2001 through 2004. He then served as a Special Advisor to the President of the Club for 2005 and 2006 as part of a 41-year career as a baseball executive.
During his time leading the Mets, Terlecky received the Frank Cashen Award as the New York Mets organization’s top executive in 2003. He most recently has served as the General Manager of the North Shore Navigators since 2012. His baseball career began when he was hired by the Baltimore Orioles AAA affiliate -- the Rochester Red Wings – at the 1978 Winter Baseball Meetings. He became the Co-General Manager of that team in 1981 at the age of 27.

Terlecky is survived by his son Tyler, wife Kaitlyn, mother Eileen, and sister Mary Ann.
