Christopher and Jessica Gonzalez are making their new business venture a major part of their lives and since opening on November 7 their breakfast, lunch and special premium coffee blends are getting every ones attention.
The coffee has such a great taste that Chris is keeping the brand name very secret. When stopping by be sure to try out his special Hot Cocoa.
Their speciality of the house is the Big Moose Breakfast sandwich which includes eggs, cheese, Canadian bacon and sausage on a fresh Brooklyn bagel. The lunch menu includes Panini sandwiches and three different healthy soups.
All their baked goods are made on the premises but Chris strongly points out that the premium coffee and Espresso along with his breakfast and lunch menu are all delivered at very reasonable prices and a example of this includes 2 eggs, two slices of toast and a premium cup of coffee or tea for just $2.75.
Thirty-one year-old Chris is a graduate of Middleburg High School and SUNY Cobelskill with a degree in Restaurant Management. His wife Jessica is a Cambridge High School graduate and is a graduate of Russell Sage College. She is a health and physical education teacher at Roscoe Central School.
They make their home in Roscoe and have been living here for three years. Chris and Jessica were married last year in the middle of the summer at Hanofee Park and while on their wedding trip made their plans on opening a coffee shoppe.
Following the new year Chris said he is going to have a game night once a week where folks can play checkers, chess, scrabble and cards but no gambling will be allowed.
The coffee shoppe also offers a book exchange and is equipped to handle wi-fi.
Community involvement is also a part of their lives as Chris is the vice president of the Livingston Manor Chamber of Commerce and his wife is secretary. Both have plans of also joining the local Rotary Club.
Business, according to Chris is steadily growing and there are plans to hire additional help several days a week. He gave high praise to the Foster family for their supporting efforts in this new business.
