TODAY: The Rumble Ponies conclude their 4-game series with the Trenton Thunder with a Memorial Day matinee at NYSEG Stadium. The Rumble Ponies have taken two of the first three games of the series ...with Binghamton leading the season series 4-3.

KAY’S 5TH STRAIGHT WIN: Rumble Ponies LHP Anthony Kay earned his 5th straight win in yesterday’s 6-2 win over the Thunder to go to 6-2 on the year with a 1.28 ERA. Kay went five and two thirds innings, allowing 2 runs, walking three and striking out four.

WHAT A DEBUT!: Right-handed Reliever Thomas Mcllraith made his  Rumble Ponies debut Saturday after being called up from Advanced-A St. Lucie on Friday. McIillraith came in with two outs in the sixth replacing Anthony Kay. He pitched two and a third perfect frames, striking out five of the seven batters he faced.

ANOTHER DEBUT TODAY:  RHP Tommy Wilson makes his Binghamton debut today against the Thunder. Wilson was also called up from Advanced-A St. Lucie Friday. With St. Lucie this year, he was 4-2 with a 2.01 ERA in 8 starts. Last year, Wilson spent 2018 with Short-Season Brooklyn, going 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA in 11 games. Wilson was selected in the 19th round of the 2018 draft out of Cal-State Fullerton.

HAGGERTY DOES IT ALL: Binghamton’s Sam Haggerty was 3-4 last night with 2 runs scored, along with stealing his 12th base of the year. Haggerty is now tied with Richmond’s Jalen Miller for the Eastern League lead in stolen bases. Haggerty is also second in the EL in OBP (.425) and tied for third in walks (27).

HAGGERTY AND TOFFEY LIKES SEEING THE THUNDER: Will Toffey extended his hitting streak to six games with a single in Saturday night’s game. Toffey is hitting .318 against the Thunder this year while Sam Haggerty is hitting .429 in four games against Trenton (6-14).

GITTENS LEADS THE WAY:  Trenton’s Chris Gittens leads the Eastern League in three different categories including OBP (.442), Walks (31), and OPS ((1.019). Gittens is currently hitting .308 with 9 HR and 31 RBI.

COMING UP: The Rumble Ponies travel to Richmond to face the Flying Squirrels for three games at the Diamond.  The two teams play Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening with all three games beginning at 6:35.

NOT AWAY FOR TOO LONG!: The Rumble Ponies return home on Friday for a 4-game series over three days against the Portland Sea Dogs.
