We know that now, more than ever, people are looking for a sense of community. The RailRiders are here to provide you with updated community information to show you what our partner organizations and your RailRiders are doing in the community during this time. Lackawanna County Pizza Trail
Calling all pizza lovers! Do you want to see your favorite local community pizzeria get the recognition it deserves? Starting this week, vote to decide which premier pizzerias will be featured on the official Lackawanna County Pizza Trail Map! Make sure your favorite pizza spot gets put on the map!
Rooted in the core values of care, concern, compassion and commitment, Saint Joseph’s humbly serves people who are diagnosed with intellectual disability and those who seek pregnancy support, adoption assistance, outpatient therapy or medical day care services.

RailRiders' Hometown Heroes
Your packages are safe with this week's Hometown Hero, John Majewski. John has been a UPS driver serving the greater Wilkes-Barre area for 32 years. John goes above and beyond working long hours to make sure everyone gets what they need during these tough times.
John always lives up to his Captain America-like reputation and saves the day one package at a time.
John is a member of the "Circle of Honor of Safe Drivers at UPS" for being accident free for over 25 years!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, JOHN!

To nominate a Hometown Hero, email jmaydole@swbrailriders.com with the nominee's photo, career info and a short description explaining why you believe they're a  Hometown Hero!
Our weekly hero will be featured in our newsletter, on social media, and will receive a special gift!

You Can Change a Child's Life
There are more than 400,000 children and teens in the Foster Care system, and every single one deserves a chance at happiness, belonging, safety and love. As the nation begins to reopen, there is an increased need for foster families. If you're able, please consider opening your heart and your home and changing a PA child or teen's life by becoming a foster parent.

The JumpStart Cart
Two Crestwood High School graduates, Jackie Elick and Jess Light, are raising money to start their nonprofit organization, the JumpStart Cart! Their mission is to support young adults with special needs transitioning from the academic setting to the workplace. Once up and running, they'll provide vocational and community-living skills training for the young adults, by operating the nonprofit food truck. They are currently raising funds to purchase a food truck, equipment and needed supplies. With help from volunteers, once they've raised the necessary funds, the food truck will be located at various outdoor events, festivals, and markets across the area. Read more of their story here!

To contact this organization, EMAIL or call 570-599-2296.
The next COVID-19 Emergency Drive-Through Food Giveaway event is set for: Wednesday, July 29th at Scranton High School (63 Munchak Way, Scranton) from 2:30pm - 5:30pm.

Their Jackson Terrace and Valley View Terrace food pantries remain open. For more information on hours, locations, and services please visit their Facebook.
